On the rocks

Lucia scampering on the rocks at Moose State Park. Later, while she napped, the boys built a two fairy houses along the coastal hiking trail.

Here's a photo of a fairy house Gavin built at our house.  He used a leaf for the bed and two seashells as decoration.  He was quite disappointed, however, when mommy told him that fairies were not real.

Forest animals on July 4th

At the children's costume parade in Castine. A real slice of Americana, complete with hot dogs, fire engine rides and a tug of war contest.
