Lucia has started to pick out her own clothes the night before. Here is a recent outfit, which she accessorized with a necklace, sunglasses and hair bow.

The kids were so tired afterwards that even Gavin took a nap!

Super heroes!!

Here they are posing in their newly decorated masks, chanting something about superheros.  Finn, the stickler for accuracy, refuses to wear his mask b/c "Superman doesn't wearing one in the book."

Superman's Fortress of Solitude

Today is Day 4 of a week of no school, so Gavin and I have been hard at work building Superman's icy fortress underneath his bed.  At his insistence, it features a door with a keyhole, re-arrangeable felt letters for his name (but not, at his request, for his brother & sister) and crests for Superman and Batman (so that you know if they are visiting).  In the midst of all this activity, he declared "today is the best day ever!"  Music to his mommy's ears :-)

And now, he has just asked me to make a guest key for visitors to the fort??

Healthy Eater

As you can see from the size of that piece of broccoli, Finn is our healthy eater.  He loves to eat just about anything.  We are constantly amazed at the amount of food that he eats...and the fact that he still fits into size 12-18 month pants even though he is almost three!

Dress up

Lucia is now obsessed with dressing up -- she has amassed a sizable collection of princess, ballerina and fairy costumes and wears them almost every day

We told Gavin he can't sleep in the new bed until he's 5. Here he is practicing. He's positively giddy!

First visit to the dentist

Earlier this week Gavin read his first book all by himself! It's a Bobs Book called Up, Pup. He also read Fun in the Sun.
